Founder and Executive Director

Arpad has a degree in engineering and a solid foundation in quantitative analysis, R&D and problem solving. With his conceptual thinking, Arpad is able to develop and modify various trading strategies and deliver practical solutions for Banksia Price. As part of his ongoing R&D program, Arpad has lead the development of a risk management application – TradeRisk – that is integral in following the trades and portfolio performance as well as managing market risk. Arpad has run an ASX shares based derivatives fund using TradeRisk between July 2003 and May 2006. During this period Arpad has developed his own fully mechanised trading methodology that can operate in bull and bear markets, local and offshore and applicable to any listed asset class, including shares, commodities and FOREX.

STEPHEN HOVENS

Stephen’s expertise to the business is responsibility for trading operations utilizing TradeRisk as the platform to conduct risk management on trading decisions. With a background as a mechanical engineer, Stephen has an analytical approach to problem solving which compliments the team’s approach of developing numerical methods and computer applications to facilitate risk management on trading decisions. This complimentary approach has ensured a thorough quality assurance of the R&D program is undertaken before applications are introduced into the operating environment. Stephen is also responsible for the brokerage reconciliation which ensures the data integrity of TradeRisk is maintained.
